After I figured out how to get the brakes and hangers installed, I then began work on the link supports. This took a lot of measuring and fine tuning to make sure all the dimensions were correct. This piece holds together the swing link, crosshead slide and the front brake hangers. I was thinking about having these parts cast, but decided to give it a go by machining the thing. Here they are under construction ....
and mounted on the engine with the crosshead slide bars..
Just needs some final filing and a coat of paint. I'll do that after I start work on the valve gear.
