#48 Smokebox Lights

Need a Light?

It was time to put my attention on the engine lights.  The first thing I did was to machine out the cavities in the smokebox cover.  The Daylight had a Mars light for the upper light and a fixed light for the lower light.  I then machined out the recess for the number boards.  LED's were also installed in this area.  LED's were used for all the lights on the engine.  The picture below shows the number board lit up (It's hard to tell in sunlight).  As you can see she is numbered 4454.  Still need to do a bit more wiring before the nose is remounted to the smokebox.

And here it is installed and lit up.

More to do...  Back to work!
